The dark night

The night was gloomy. The roads watery and wet
The winds blew, howled, whispered sweet death
Lonely streets mutely watched the dance of the leaves
The drenched dust laced homes forming their greaves

The trees shook, shivered, withered, and fell
At a distance you could sense the river swell
Lightning cracked; depicted the creator’s dismay
It all happened as a dark night to a darker night gave way

Her face ashen, she walked with ghostly pride
Unperturbed by the lashing drops, she held onto her stride
Then stopped, turned, and said a quick prayer,
Hastily glancing sideways she left; leaving it there

Hell hath no fury as the savage night turned wild
Abandoned, cheated, dead-- there lay the girl child
The scent of her end nauseated the disarray
It all happened as a dark night to a darker night gave way

It happened again

Brown and staid, so handsomely made
Any inhibitions; I have now betrayed

To you I come with bated breath,
so unleash my passion and be my meth!

Searching eyes search your pack,
now there is no turning back.

Warm and wet you melt in me
unknowingly setting my soul free

Your sweetness so heightens my drive,
and the darkness makes me so alive.

Having you is not my sin
why does the voice then differ within?

You’ll go back to never come,
leaving me behind, comfortably numb.

I have fallen again for the bait.
just who on earth made CHOCOLATE??
